A role with a focus on operational excellence as we move to the future, which includes changes to our infrastructure, systems and tools, and ways of working.Te tūranga - The roleThe Manager Product Quality and Assurance is a critical role within the Money and Cash department. You are responsible for managing the banknote and coin production arrangements, managing the quality and authenticity of cash in Aotearoa (which includes the development of regulatory standards), and monitoring the performance of the cash system against the needs of New Zealanders. You will contribute your expertise to Money and Cash strategic priorities such as work on redesigning Aotearoa's cash distribution system and the development of a Central Bank Digital Currency.Ō pūkenga - About you This is a rare opportunity to lead change in an established function, as well as to lead the emergence of new areas of focus. Coming from a strong technical background you will bring significant experience and new ways of thinking that lead an uplift in our banknote and coin quality assurance frameworks and practices, as well as to lead the approach to our emergent cash system monitoring function. You will possess a high level of technical expertise and your experience has seen you develop, implement and maintain frameworks, methodologies and technical specifications. You can articulate your thinking and approach to a wide range of stakeholders in a way that is concise, but reflective of your specialised skills and knowledge.You will need to have.
- Demonstrated senior experience working in quality assurance, particularly within the production of currency or a comparable manufacturing / supply chain management / product management scenario.
- Demonstrated experience delivering change, including through others
- Experience leading, upskilling, and fostering a culture of excellence in a team
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem solving skills
