With strong financial growth over recent years expansion to a new facility is on the horizon. The quality Manager will play an integral part in this transition in developing systems and processes and ensuring that quality remains a high priority, while also developing a team to support this transition.

**About the role**

As the Quality Assurance Manager, the purpose of the position is to take responsibility for total quality management, including all Food Safety, compliance requirements, audits and control and supporting the innovation and new product Development process.

You will be involved in the daily production operations,where developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders will be critical to maintaining quality across the production environment.

**Some key responsibilities in the role include**:

- Be the voice of Quality across New Zealand with a focus on manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers
- Promote and develop quality awareness in every employee
- Drive continuous improvement, especially in terms of standardisation of processes and procedures, GMP and risk mitigation across all the NZ sites
- Be the contact point for day-to-day quality issues, sensitive consumer complaint investigations and champion systematic root cause analyses
- Be the owner of the site product formulas to ensure that they meet compliance requirements including AAFCO nutrition and support product claims
- Maintain product specifications in line with product brand and quality criteria
- Support new raw material development
- Develop and manage effective site Risk Management procedures
- Develop and review company policies for RMP and GMP
- Advise management on the company’s compliance with legislation and regulations
- Facilitate both internal and external food safety and compliance audits
