From its purpose-built state-of-the-art research and production base in Lower Hutt, Wellington, Arotec Diagnostics produces the highest quality components used by in-vitro diagnostic manufacturers and research organisations worldwide. Part of the global Sebia Group, the business is well-resourced and continues to grow at a significant pace, so job stability is assured.

**What will you be doing?**

Arotec Diagnostics is currently looking for a Qualtiy Officer to support both their QC and QA functions. This is a full time role reporting to the Quality Manager. Although the junior member of the team, there is plenty to get your teeth into.

Your role will consist of:
**Quality Assurance**:

- Maintain regulatory compliance register and ensure all documents are current.
- Processing of customer feedback, analyse trends and investigate root cause.
- Assist with the maintenance of controlled documentation and analysis of metrics.
- Assist with the internal audit programme and analyse results.
- Assist with external audits (ISO / MPI / Customer).

**Quality Control**:

- Assist in the maintenance of retention sample inventory, patent sera inventory and QC equipment.
- Support with the testing of samples and documentation of results.
- Contribute to the creation of new, and review of existing, QC related SOPs.

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience working within a manufacturing or commercial testing laboratory.
- Experience working under strict regulatory standards: ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Experience carrying out key protein testing procedures (SDS-PAGE, western blot, ELISA, Spectrophotometric testing). This is ideal, however as the role is primarily QA, a background in more generic microbiological testing will be OK.
- Meticulous attention to detail. You are used to adhering to strict SOPs and your record keeping is impeccable.
- You have a positive, can-do attitude. You have a cheerful disposition and can go with the flow should the demands on your time change.
- You are team orientated, working collaboratively both with your team and those from other disciplines.
- You have strong organisational and communication skills. As part of this role involves maintaining and preparing reports your written English must be excellent. Likewise, you need to be competent in the use of Word and Excel.
