We are seeking a fixed-term Nursing Lecturer to join our School of Nursing in Taradale, Napier, from 12 January 2026 to 14 August 2026. This role reports to the Assistant Head of School / Practicum Manager - Nursing. This is an opportunity to bring your clinical and teaching experience into mahi that reflects our values and vision, and to play a meaningful part in shaping what comes next for our ākonga and communities.

The appointing salary for this role is up to $89,639, dependent on skills and experience.
The **Nursing Lecturer** is based in our **School of Nursing**
EIT reporting to the **Assistant Head of School / Practicum Manager - Nursing** and will be responsible for:

- Delivering high-quality teaching in nursing theory and practice.
- Facilitating student learning through diverse methods, including online and practical experiences.
- Supporting curriculum development and contributing to new course creation.
- Maintaining accurate student records and complying with academic regulations.
- Developing and moderating assessments to ensure reliability and validity.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A current practising certificate as a Registered Nurse (essential).
- Bachelor of Nursing (essential); postgraduate qualification (desired).
- Nursing practice experience and tertiary teaching experience (desired).
- Mātauranga Māori knowledge and commitment to cultural safety.
- Experience in curriculum development and blended learning delivery.
