We’re currently looking for someone to cover our Cruise Ship Coordinator role on a fixed term basis. As our Cruise Ship Coordinator, you will be involved in everything from planning requirements prior to the cruise vessel being in Port and will support the coordination of the operation and face to face interaction with key stakeholders when the vessel is on the wharf.
Key priorities for this role include:
- Co-ordination and day to day management of cruise activities
- Forward planning for the upcoming season
- Team leadership of the Cruise Customer Services Team
- Roster and leave management
- Relationship management with cruise port users
- Liaise with shipping agents and industry stakeholders and also Napier Port Container Operations, General Cargo, Access and Customer Services, and Marine colleagues to communicate cruise requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve operating procedures and training procedures
- Safety - Zero Harm workplace through a Just Safety Culture
This is a busy, challenging and dynamic role. We’re looking for someone with a real focus on safely delivering a high level of customer service and coordination support. Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to organise and prioritise effectively are a must in this role. A background in the Marine, Cruise or Tourism industry would be of benefit. Some weekend work is required.
