The appointing salary for this role will be between $78,000 and $82,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The Veterinary Nursing Lecturer is based in our Centre for Veterinary Nursing | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Head of School, Centre for Veterinary Nursing and will be responsible for:
- **Curriculum Development**: Prepare and update curriculum, participate in course material development, and contribute to new programme creation.
- **Student Learning**: Define learning objectives, facilitate diverse learning experiences, and provide practical learning opportunities.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Conduct reliable student assessments, provide feedback, and participate in moderation activities.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work with the teaching team, programme coordinator, and other staff to support student learning and programme delivery.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- **Educational Background**: Relevant tertiary qualification in veterinary nursing or a related field, with a preference for a tertiary teaching qualification.
- **Experience**: Recent and diverse experience in the veterinary or animal care industry, with teaching experience at the tertiary level preferred.
- **Skills**: Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and leadership skills, along with good organizational and administrative abilities.
- **Cultural Competence**: Understanding and appreciation of cultural issues, with a commitment to a culturally sensitive working and learning environment.
