**The role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent relationship and people skills to join our high performing Claims Partnerships & Services team as Digital Light Motor Assessor based in Auckland or Christchurch. A genuine desire to build great supplier relationships and deliver great outcomes for our end customers. You will also have a willingness to learn and contribute to the wider team.

**Responsibilities**
- Carrying out damage assessments on all types of vehicles within the Digital Light Motor and Private motor space.
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired within service standards along with managing and mitigating the cost of repair and reinstatement.
- Developing professional relationships with vehicle repairers and parts suppliers throughout the country.
- Working in collaboration with the claims team to ensure understanding and resolution of any technical matters. Completing repair and total loss reports in accordance with reporting criteria.

**Qualifications and experience**
- At least 5 years’ of experience in insurance claims
- Broad & deep understanding of smash repair industry, including current shifts, trends, and technology used I the repair of motor vehicles and machinery
- Excellent technical understanding of motor claims and processes
- Ability to travel when necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and be approachable.
- The flexibility to adapt and evolve with Ando’s Claims strategy.
- Great people skills & critical thinking capabilities to work under pressure within the deadlines.
