Hill Laboratories is a leading provider of analytical laboratory services in New Zealand. We are in the middle of a significant digital transformation programme. This programme will help streamline our operations and open the business to new opportunities. To do this, we'll be further investing in our development teams. We currently have three development teams, all based in Hamilton.

As a Test Analyst, we’ll be looking to you to closely work with other test analysts, developers and business analysts with a strong passion in delivering quality products. In this role, we expect you to have good experience in designing and developing test plans and performing all levels of testing. You will also be helping us improve our processes by automating software testing practices.

**The Role**
- Analyse and understand user stories, business requirements and functional requirements
- Design, develop and execute test plans and test scenarios to ensure long-term stability of the software
- Perform manual and automated tests for Desktop apps, web apps, mobile apps and microservices
- Identify defects in a timely manner and detail them
- Identify and implement automated testing techniques wherever possible
- Actively participate in sprint planning and review meetings and interact with developers and business analysts to analyse the requirements
- Ensure that the defects are appropriately managed before the product is delivered
- Perform quality assurance activities in all phases of the software development

**About You**

You will have an excellent knowledge of software testing practices and strong experience in working in an agile team. You will have a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.
- 3 years of experience as a Test Analyst or a similar role
- A good understanding of QA processes and agile methodologies gained from practical experience
- Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
- Working knowledge of Jira
- Experience in web-service testing using Postman
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
