**The Opportunity**

We’re looking for an Embedded Test Analyst to join the team responsible for testing the software and hardware in our award-winning security products. This is a key role ensuring our products meet both market and customer expectations.

You'll write test cases, uncover and document anomalies, and contribute to both security and performance testing—all as part of a high-performing agile team.

As part of #TeamGallagher, you will:

- Play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge security products by actively engaging in the full software lifecycle
- Review and analyse project documentation to design, develop, and execute test cases
- Identify, analyse, and document anomalies to support prioritisation and resolution
- Develop automated test scripts using Ruby, Python, or similar languages
- Perform manual testing of hardware devices within the Gallagher Security Devices value stream
- Align with our agile workflows and contribute to established testing best practices
- Facilitate the release process by overseeing the deployment of software into production environments

What you’ll bring:

- 2- 5 years of experience in manual and automated testing of embedded software
- Solid networking know-how (IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, BootP, NAT)
- Linux fundamentals and familiarity with command-line tools
- Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Background in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban preferred)
- Relevant tertiary qualification or certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, ISTQB, Microsoft Certified)
- Strong coding skills and experience writing automated tests
- Clear communication, both written and verbal, with a knack for concise documentation
- Basic soldering skills and hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes or power supplies
- Experience with containerised environments (e.g. Docker) and familiarity with Git version control is a bonus
