**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**
In your role as a Senior Reinsurance Consultant in the Portfolio Management team, you’ll facilitate IAG’s reinsurance strategy and coordinate operations. This includes providing technical expertise to business managers, supporting the Executive Manager Portfolio, and collaborating with teams across Australia and New Zealand.
Your key responsibilities involve implementing reinsurance strategies, managing financial transactions, promoting reinsurance understanding, contributing to catastrophe modelling, and advising on facultative reinsurance. The role ensures alignment of reinsurance treaties with business needs and provides critical support in risk management and actuarial queries.
This is a permanent hybrid full-time role based out of Auckland.
**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**
To be successful in the role, you’ll ideally have the following skills/ experiences:
- Extensive experience in the insurance market, encompassing underwriting, broking, pricing, and/or analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting to executive-level audiences.
- High level of personal drive and enthusiasm, coupled with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, analyze, and provide recommendations on technical insurance matters.
