**Position Summary**:
The purpose of this role is to help sustainably grow Marsh’s New Zealand client and revenue base by:

- Delivering valued and profitable Property Risk Solutions, both individually and as a participant of larger collaborative team consulting projects.
- Supporting Principals and Senior Consultants in the establishment and development of relationships with new business prospects and clients.
- Pro-actively seeking to expand the consulting portfolio through development and / or introduction of new services. Provide feedback to Principals and Senior Consultants on the overall quality and delivery of existing consulting portfolios and suggest improvements as required.

**Responsibilities;**
- To support Principals and other Senior Consultants in the establishment and development of relationships with new business prospects and clients.
- To provide clients with operational solutions to their risk management needs through the delivery and implementation of structured risk management programs.
- To pro-actively seek to expand the Marsh Advisory consulting portfolio through development and / or introduction of new services.
- To provide feedback to Principals and other Senior Consultants on the overall quality and delivery of existing consulting portfolios and suggest improvements as required.
- Internal & External stakeholder management.

**Experience;**

It is expected the position at Consultant level will join Marsh with experience (or aptitude) for:

- Promoting, project managing and delivering own technical projects.
- Working within, and in some cases leading, small teams of technical colleagues.
- Developing, managing and reporting project budgets and associated performance measures.

**Knowledge & Skills;**

**Analysis - **Applies research and/or statistical measurement principles to gather information, test assumptions and previously held opinions and the subsequent logical examination of complex information necessary to make an accurate judgment, reach a decision or support an assertion.

**Initiative - **Seeks out and acts on opportunities and calculated risks. Demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act independently with mínimal yet appropriate reference back to manager/supervisor.

**Judgment - **Applies knowledge and reasoning skills to arrive at an appropriate solution/decision, given contextual factors. Use of sound and accurate judgment in a timely manner.

**Followership (Supporting Management) - **Provides individual support to management at all levels through loyalty and honesty, is willing to work towards commonly agreed objectives and assigned tasks, and consistently represents the Company's attempts to implement new policies and programs.

**Technology - **Understands and effectively applies the Company’s specialized technology resources to meet objectives and satisfy client needs and contributes to the development and implementation of new and improved technology resources.

**What you need to have**:
**Education;**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Washington Accord Accredited) or higher (prerequisite).
- Graduate or Post Graduate Business Management qualifications or equivalent industry experience (desirable).
