Position Summary

Focused on Samsung Display (Desktop monitor / Digital Signage / Commercial TV) channel, this role will be pivotal to ensure Samsung’s success in this market. Working closely with our channel partners, and, end users. Relationship and Channel Management along with Product Sales capabilities will be critical to ensuring our channel is enabled, aligned and working together to achieve the desired success.

The role will need a very capable individual with entrepreneurial flair, experienced in account management, time management, effective communication. Great relationship skills flavoured with good industry knowledge, with the ability to influence and a strong drive for success are essential attributes to the job holder.

Role and Responsibilities

Financial Targets
- Develop and Achieve Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual sales plans and objectives in accordance with company direction. Building a sales pipeline and supply chain which ensures sales quotas are achieved.

Account Management
- Develop a long term strategic partnership with chosen partners ensuring a prosperous relationship for both parties.
- Through joint planning with the chosen partner, establish and document an agreement of mutual business objectives. Clearly identifying strategic objectives, quantifies targets and key milestones.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor within the accounts to gain exposure and awareness of the company’s sales pipeline.
- Leverage relationships to ensure Samsung is involved with end customer discussions/ negotiations to ensure that the Samsung Value proposition is represented effectively.
- Work with relevant parties including; Customer, Resellers and Customers to ensure financial objectives are delivered.

Product & Solution Knowledge
- Work across all sales & solutions teams within the partner to ensure they are well aware of the Samsung device and Solution capability.
- Maintain a strong knowledge base of Samsung capabilities; in addition understand the relevant Competitors offerings to ensure that our selling proposition is based on the value.
- Support Partner sales resource as and when required to sell in the solution to the customers

Internal Communication
- Progress communicated on a timely basis and in an effective format enabling managers and the wider company to understand progress, issues and opportunities.
- Working with Marketing to create demand for Samsung’s Desktop Monitor / Digital signage Solutions
- Working with Service to ensure that there is the required service structure in place.

Success in the role will be determined by the ability to
- Become an expert on the Desktop monitor / Digital Signage market, our channel partners and the relevant products and solutions Samsung will take to market. Ensuring that an established and enabled network is in place, to help support and achieve Samsung desired outcomes efficiently and effectively
- Achievement of required outcomes for the account which include; achievement of revenue targets, building a sales pipeline, to ensure sales quotas are achieved on going, ensuring the Channel partner has a core range of offerings to support Samsung’s growth initiatives and requirements
- Leverage the global knowledge base to establish Samsung as a leader in Innovation, becoming a trusted advisor to channel and in turn their customer base.
- Establish and adhere to effective governance program which insures the account operates effectively, aligned with Samsung desired outcomes and key stakeholders are kept informed.

Skills and Qualifications

**Qualifications**:

- Degree qualified preferable.

Experience
- 5-8 years of work experience as a Channel Manager within the IT Markets
- A strong Network within the New Zealand IT reseller market
