**About Orange Sky**
Orange Sky is the world's-first free mobile laundry and shower service provided to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday Kiwis to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.
We currently operate three services across two locations in New Zealand and 36 services across 25 locations in Australia. There are 41,600 Kiwis and 116,000 Australians experiencing homelessness, and we’re on a mission to positively connect these communities through clean clothes, warm showers, and genuine, non-judgemental conversation. We’re driven, dedicated, insanely ambitious and a little unconventional. We take our work seriously, but have plenty of fun along the way. We work hard and ‘get it done’, but always make time to celebrate each other’s success.
**The Role**
To support our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptional coordinator to join the team in one of our service locations (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or Hamilton). The role will be based remotely and responsible for coordinating activities within our Community Impact team with a focus on supporting our services in New Zealand to optimise and increase social impact through effective and efficient service development and delivery.
In a nutshell this role is responsible for:
- Establishing & managing relationships with service providers, councils and other organisations related to the Community Impact space.
- Coordinating shift location logistics and information (e.g. new services, van base, etc.) including the regular preparation and updating of shift details
- Scouting, coordinating and facilitating trial shifts and identifying new locations.
- Coordinating implementation of strategies to improve and expand community impact
- Provide on the ground support for Service Operations as needed.
- Monitoring, managing, measuring, evaluating and reporting on the community impact program budget and impact.
- Collaborating with the Marketing, Fundraising & Partnerships team to develop and deliver service improvements and efficiencies
- Developing and contributing to Orange Sky service and operational procedures relating to service delivery and social impact
**Who are we looking for?**
Additionally, the ideal applicant has:
- Demonstrated ability to analyse community impact outcomes, and to develop innovative and strategic methods to improve the effectiveness of shifts and services.
- Previous experience working with disadvantaged communities in NZ, particularly in a community services setting
- High level cross cultural, interpersonal, collaboration, oral and written communication skills including ability to present, influence and provide advice on complex issues to a highly diverse range of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in working collaboratively across a variety of departments to lead and implement large scale operational process changes.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage complex and competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Above average understanding of technology and software, and the impact it can have on improving operational efficiency of service outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Tenacious problem-solving ability, and desire to take OS service operations to the next level of social impact delivery.
- Proactive attitude, and a genuine commitment and passion for our key mission, vision and values.
- Open driver’s licence, or equivalent transferable license.
