Bring your ER and people advisory / HR expertise to a 2-month fixed-term role supporting our People and brigade leaders and fostering a thriving workplace culture.

We're looking for a Senior People Advisor to join us on a 2-month fixed-term contract, providing vital continuity of support for our leaders and people.

Reporting to the People Business Partner, you'll immerse yourself in employment relations and HR advisory work, partnering with leaders and teams across our Auckland districts.

In this role, you'll deliver timely, practical advice, assess current challenges, and recommend solutions that drive impact. By collaborating closely with leaders, you'll help foster a culture of growth and development while navigating complex ER issues. Most of your focus will be on supporting People Advisory and HR activities across Auckland.

**To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will**:

- Have relevant qualifications or experience working in HR.
- Proven experience in employment relations, with the capability to operate at a senior advisory level and quickly add value while working autonomously.
- Good knowledge of current New Zealand employment law and HR practices and how this relates to the organisational context.
- The ability to coach and mentor managers to enhance overall capability in people management.
