**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**

**What you will be doing**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Some of the things you may get involved with but may not be limited to the following.
- Provide support in the implementation of the integrated network of activities that implement a complete suite of cost controls to ensure all milestones are achieved.
- Ensure effective integration of the design package schedule and procurement package schedule with the budget.
- Provide support on cost estimating, budget monitoring, bill of quantities development, and cash flow preparation.
- Support the preparation of the monthly reporting documentation to support the early warning and change management processes.
- Assist with the preparation of reports on the progress of the project and the required resourcing needs, scheduled changes, project scope, and adjustments.
- Provide status for financial monthly reporting.
- Continually look for ways to maintain and implement efficiency and cost control.
- Civil engineering degree qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Ideally 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in cost estimation, cost monitoring, and budgeting in construction projects
- Sound knowledge and experience working in the construction/infrastructure sector
- Interacts positively and professionally with all position levels within the company and exhibits sound judgment on the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction
- Experience working with MS Project, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
