**The Opportunity**:
Vitruvius is looking for a Project Controller - Data Engineering to join our Auckland team. This role focuses on delivering data-driven project controls solutions across sectors such as rail, transport, water, and land.

You will work with scheduling, cost and budget management, and risk analysis, ensuring data is structured and optimised for decision-making and project performance. Your work will enhance reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities, helping clients and teams achieve better project outcomes.

**The Role**:
This role is part of our newly established Auckland Advisory team, shaping data engineering capability. You will work closely with clients, both internal and external) to structure and manage project data effectively, ensuring it aligns with stakeholder objectives.
- Develop and manage data pipelines for project and programme controls.
- Automate data integration and transformation processes.
- Implement data-driven project controls methodologies, including scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Enhance reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
- Use Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and cloud-based platforms to optimise reporting.

Vitruvius is New Zealand locally owned multidisciplinary consultancy offering a range of services including civil/waters engineering, rail design, transport engineering, land surveying and development.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- A degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Two to five years of experience in data engineering, project controls, or analytics within consulting, construction, or infrastructure.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and structuring data.
- Experience in ETL processes and cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to develop automated project dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and risk management principles.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- Knowledge of enterprise project control software such as EcoSys, Oracle Primavera Unifier, or Deltek Acumen.
- Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics for forecasting.
- Certifications in Project Controls such as AACE CCP, PMI-SP, or PRINCE2, or Data Engineering such as Google Cloud Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, or Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate.
