As a member of ASB's Financial Crime Operations team, you will help protect not only ASB and it's customers from the impact of Financial Crime, but vulnerable and exploited people worldwide. You will not only lead but will also contribute in a meaningful way to help protect Aotearoa New Zealand from organised crime, modern slavery, extreme right-wing groups, and other activity which places New Zealand at risk.

**Mo te tūranga | About the Role**:
As a Head of Financial Crime Technology, Strategy & Delivery delivering your role is pivotal to leading on the following agendas
- Strategy planning & execution: work with the FCO leadership team to drive the development and execution of FCO's strategic plans ensuring we meet our goals
- Operational efficiency: work with the FCO leadership team and our partners to drive FCO's efficiency strategy ensuring we have effective execution, tracking, reporting and communication to our stakeholders
- Cross-functional collaboration and change management: fostering collaboration, alignment and clear prioritisation across the delivery and technology landscape, leading change management initiatives where relevant and supporting the FCO Leadership team to ensure smooth transitions and minimise disruptions
- Systems ownership and transformation: own the ongoing performance and development of the Financial Crime technology platform together with the technology deliveries as part of the financial crime strategic programme of work
- FCC investment theme: management of the financial crime investment portfolio of work ensuring delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner

You will also evaluate and advise on regulatory and compliance issues involving FCC systems, including effective management of third-party vendors.

**Key to your success in this role will be**:

- Strategic and consultancy tool-box at senior level including
- Knowledge of Financial Crime disciplines
- Highly organized and strategic-minded with strong financial management and delivery skills
- Ability to lead large portfolios of people, resources, and budgets
- Previous experience in delivering large programmes of work delivering benefits within budget in a timely manner
- Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Passion for creating a team culture where innovation, experimentation and learning is rapid
- Ability to lead FC CXOs and their squads of Engineers in delivering end to end technology capabilities that are regulatory compliant and efficient

You will be required to undergo Police vetting for various aspects of this role. You will represent your business unit in internal stakeholder meetings and also update senior stakeholders with emerging financial crime trends or risks, and manage these accordingly.

**We are looking for someone with the following skills**:

- 5+ years' of leadership experience with med-large financial services companies at senior level
- AML knowledge within a New Zealand Financial Services environment is highly advantageous, Training from a recognised institution such as ACAMs is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to negotiate with and work alongside multiple stakeholders and suppliers
- Broad technical delivery and leadership experience including business efficiency, agile transformation, governance, business analysis, strategy, engineering, architecture, customer experience, agile transformation, project delivery
- Comfort leading and facilitating business and strategic planning processes
