We are seeking a experienced team leader with a collections background, you will be leading a team responsible for collecting outstanding business levies.

With the ability to draw on personal experience, you will be expected to be an effective coach and mentor for your team. Your understanding of the collection’s environment, as well as your team leadership experience, will help you to keep the momentum going and drive performance. Because of the nature of this type of role, we are interested in learning what strategies you use to keep the environment light and how you inject some fun and enjoyment into the team.

There is also a focus in this role for you to take initiative in joining the leadership team. This is a fundamental part of the wider Collections team and gives our team leaders the opportunity to work collaboratively and consultatively to implement process improvements.

**What we're looking for to be successful**:

- Proven experience and success in leading, motivating and managing to deliver commercially beneficial outcomes, preferably in a collections or credit management environment.
- Experience and a sound understanding of the legal recovery process
- Experience in relationship management, risk management and preferably leading through change.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly in relation to negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Sensitivity to issues related to equity, people with disabilities, and cultural and social needs.
