- We are looking for an experienced Disaster Recovery Manager _to be responsible for the development and management of the Disaster Recovery (DR) plans for digital systems, including the regular testing of these plans and its components. This role focuses on engaging with stakeholders to develop and implement their site, service or platform DR and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

This role is also responsible for managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) operations and updates, which means ensuring the availability, reliability, and usability of the CMDB and its data. They will monitor and audit the CMDB activities and transactions, such as data collection, discovery, reconciliation, verification, and synchronization, and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Accountable for the overarching Digital DR framework and strategy, including review of existing DR and Digital BCPs and developing and implementing a work programme for maturity uplift with clearly defined and measured KPIs.
- Reviewing the outcomes of Business-Critical System Analysis and aligning the Disaster Recovery framework, strategy and plans to support business need.
- Planning the setup, rollout, testing and maintenance of the Digital DR policy and plans.
- Managing and administering the CMDB process, working closely with other process leads to ensure that asset specific information can be gathered and disseminated using efficient and consistently followed processes. We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $131,659 and $160,916 commensurate to skills and experience

- Demonstrated experience in the designing, implementing, and testing of disaster recovery frameworks and processes, including scenario planning and recovery strategies.
- Strong understanding of IT risk assessment, mitigation planning, and continuity strategies for critical infrastructure and services
- Proven experience managing and maintaining a CMDB, including discovery tools, integrations, and service mapping
- Expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution
- Familiarity with a broad range of technical concepts relevant to cloud computing environments: logical access, agile development process, security architecture, information security, network security, and privacy.
- Strong commitment to quality, process excellence, and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing enhancements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.

**Qualifications**

A Technology degree or equivalent work experience

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.
