Mō te tūnga | About the role
Tamaki Makaurau is the identity for the three Police Districts in Auckland. It represents the intent to draw together the collective capability of these districts, together with other Police groups that operate across Tamaki Makaurau. The Performance Group supports the service delivery of these Districts and groups by providing key information and analysis at regular intervals that supports decision making and provides direction. In addition, the Performance Group also plays a vital role in relation to information management as well as project support, both of which are important aspects of the role.
This is a rewarding position that will research, develop, and maintain an overview of the performance environment, construct and develop information products and services, and provide internal and external reporting and communication that support Police strategies and improve performance. As part of a team, this is a busy role that at times requires the construction of innovative solutions to complex matters. The Performance Group takes pride in providing high standards of service to stakeholders and an applicant who can demonstrate initiative would be a perfect fit. This position works alongside two other analysts and reports to the Performance Manager.
The Performance Group is based in Otahuhu. Some flexibility in the start time of the working day is likely to be possible.

**Special Requirements - shortlisted applicants**:
- Short-listed applicants will be provided a data set at least one week prior to interview, requiring basic analysis, and the construction of a brief PowerPoint presentation summarising their analytical findings, to be presented at interview.
