**Hours: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)**

The primary focus for this role is providing information, advocacy and support for families/whānau accessing a 24-hour, 5-bed short-term respite service for children with physical impairments.

**Job specific information**:
The Respite Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and leadership of Te Whare Poipoi, including operational requirements of the facility, including but not limited to management of support workers and managing bookings and rosters.

As a Service Coordinator, you will:

- Ensure the operational efficiency of the short-term respite facility, Te Whare Poipoi to a high standard and in accordance with the CCS Disability Action’s values and mandates and service delivery audit requirements.
- The coordinator will provide a reliable, responsive, high-quality service with an appropriate match of skilled, trained staff to support individual and family/whānau needs appropriately.

With the support of Senior Service Coordinator, Children and Families Team our organisation, you’ll:

- Ensure that all staff are competent, and practice reflects the highest standards of Child Protection.
- Develop and maintain clear processes and procedures to ensure that the service provided is safe and meets contractual and sector standard requirements.

**About you**:
We are looking for people who have:

- An understanding of the importance and value of the service we provide and ensuring that it is of the highest quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
- Strong team leadership, time management and organisational skills.
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Social Services or Human Services or acceptable equivalent qualification and/or work experience is preferred.
