We are looking for a confident and capable front man to be a major part of providing those solutions.
Are you a professional engineer with the technical know-how to specify and carryout conceptual design of water and wastewater treatment plants, but also the drive and personality to close the sale? If so, we are interested in talking to you.
The Role
The Technical Sales Engineer - Water will take on a senior technical sales role contributing to the ongoing development of the business for all sectors of the infrastructure and industrial market throughout New Zealand. They will join a team of mechanical, civil and chemical engineers, service technicians and product specialists. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Grow company business and market share strategically in equipment and service sales
- Marketing and Sales planning
- Business Development
- Technical support and consultancy
- Equipment selection and conceptual process design
- Relating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
**Requirements**:
About You
High-level technical sales, relationship management, planning and commercial expertise are essential in this exciting career advancing role. You will need to be a self-motivated, energetic and dynamic leader who has a strong desire to develop and lead the marketing function of this diverse engineering solution provider. Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality are essential. You’ll be experienced in developing client relationships and leading proposals and bids for projects.
You will be tertiary qualified in Civil or Mechanical engineering, with all round process mechanical engineering knowledge and have past onsite project administration experience on larger projects.
You have gained at least 5+ years’ experience through working on a wide range of water and wastewater projects including knowledge of:
- Dosing and Control systems
- Filtration (MF/UF, cartridge, media)
- Disinfection (ClO2, UV, NaOCl)
High Purity (RO, IX, EDI)
You’ll be well connected and networked in the New Zealand industry with a proven ability to develop good business relationships and secure work and have a passion for staying abreast of industry needs and best practice. Existing networks and business relationships with local councils and government bodies would be an advantage.
All applicants must have relevant New Zealand experience and have the right to work in New Zealand.
