We're looking for an enthusiastic **Assistant Manager** to join our dynamic team at Anndion Restaurant in Whanganui. If you hold a **Manager's Certificate** and have a strong commitment to exceptional service, we want to hear from you

**About the Role**: As the **Assistant Manager**, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. You'll work alongside the management team to ensure smooth service, high-quality customer experiences, and a positive work environment for our staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver top-notch service
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Train and support staff, providing coaching and guidance
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Manager’s Certificate** (required)
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a hospitality environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- A hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and lead by example
- Passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 12 per week

- Whanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
