We are looking to recruit one Motel Manager to oversee the motel's daily operation.  The position is full-time permanent with a guarantee of at least 30 hours (or more) per week.
Hours of work will be on a roster between 35 - 40 hours per week.  Work hours are usually between 9 am to 7 pm.  You may need to work on the weekend and public holidays.  The pay rate will be between NZD 29 to 32 per hour.
Duties will include:
Oversee daily operations of BK's Magnolia Motor Lodge, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining excellent service standards.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of housekeeping staff, receptionists, and maintenance workers, ensuring efficient work schedules and performance.
Monitor and control budgets, expenses, and revenue, implementing cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all facilities, coordinate necessary repairs, and oversee laundry services.
Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and act as the main point of contact for guest-related issues.
Provide local tourism information and assist with guest transportation arrangements.
Implement marketing plans to attract new guests and retain returning customers.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
Position expectations:
Relevant tertiary degree qualification holder
Some relevant work experience
Ability to speak fluent English
Strong knowledge of website and digital marketing will be an advantage
Good character, a friendly attitude, and display a positive, “lead by example” attitude
