Toi Ohomai delivers quality vocational education and training to both domestic and international students, across five main campuses in Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Tokoroa and Whakatāne, and numerous delivery sites across the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato.

Toi Ohomai is now a division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology and part of a transformational change unifying all 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics across Aotearoa; together with other work-based, provider-based and online learning. Collectively we will be NZ’s largest tertiary education provider with national and regional reach enabling learners and employers to move seamlessly between workplaces, other educational offerings and locations as their needs change.

The Information Facilitator is a member of the Knowledge and Information Services Team and contributes to the success of students and staff by providing a high quality, student focused library, learning, and IT support service.

**Key responsibilities for the role are to**:

- Provide library information services;
- Provide library orientations, familiarity and promotion services;
- Ensure the physical library and learning spaces are welcoming and well maintained;
- Provide library lending services and assist with collection maintenance;
- Coordinate library overdue resource processes.

**The skills, experience and qualifications required for this position include**:

- Level 5 library qualification or be working towards one
- Ability to work with clients to meet their information needs
- Good interpersonal and team work skills,
- Good digital literacy and information literacy skills,
- Accuracy and attention to detail.

Normal hours of work for this role will be 7.5 hours per day between the hours of 7.00am and 9.00pm depending on the Institute’s requirements, some flexibility is required. This role may also require some weekend work and work at different locations as required.
