Are you passionate about supporting tāne to thrive and lead positive change in their lives and communities? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Tāne Takitū Ake Facilitators to join our team in Rotorua.

About the Role:

This position is based Monday to Friday at 32 hours a week, with the expectation of flexibility to support tāne outside of standard hours when needed. It's ideal for someone who values whānau wellbeing and believes in the strength and potential of men to uplift themselves and those around them. As a facilitator, you'll lead a strengths-based, te ao Māori-informed programme that equips tāne with tools, knowledge, and support to navigate life's challenges and build deeper, more resilient relationships with their whānau.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group sessions and one-on-one engagements with participants.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment.
  • Support men in developing life skills, emotional wellbeing, and positive identity.
  • Collaborate with local services and community networks.
  • Capture and maintain accurate data through our systems to support programme evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to programme development.

About You:

  • Experience in facilitation, social services, counselling, or community work.
  • Strong understanding of te ao Māori and commitment to kaupapa Māori approaches.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable using digital systems to record and manage data.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly.
  • Passionate about men's wellbeing and whānau resilience.
