Business Studies Team / Te Pūkenga - NZIST trading as Toi Ohomai

We are looking for an Academic Staff Member (ASM) for the Business team within the Faculty of Business, Design and Service Industries. This role involves teaching on our Accounting courses for the Diploma in Business and Bachelor of Applied Management qualifications.

As an ASM within this team, you will also be required to update resources and classroom materials, set and mark assessments, enter attendance and results as well as assist with the recruitment and care of students.

A strength will be your ability to work autonomously in a busy and continually changing environment along with actively participating in the team and school environment. Travel between campuses within the regions is required.

**The key responsibilities and requirements for this position include**:

- Development of Programmes, Courses and Resources
- Inform, Understand and Support Learners
- Teach and Facilitate Student Learning
- Assess Learning Achievement
- Provide Feedback and Report Learner Achievement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of own teaching and commitment to continuous improvement
- Accounting qualification (CA/CPA)
- Masters qualification
- Maintaining currency in own discipline and as a teacher
- Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Current full New Zealand Driver’s License
- The ability to be self-motivated with high work ethic
