**Ngā kawenga | About the role**

The successful Critical Health & Safety Risk Advisor will operate in a challenging environment but one which is highly supportive and part of a valued team. The role will allow you to showcase your impressive written and verbal communication skills where you can clearly articulate ideas and H&S requirements, as well as your engaging workstyle which sees you easily build effective and collaborative working relationships.

Other key accountabilities of this role are:

- Supporting the wider Strategy and Systems team in the development and continuous improvement of our Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) with particular focus on Critical H&S Risk operational policies, protocols and processes.
- Working across the Department to test H&S processes and systems, enabling alignment of H&S activities with the business, ensuring they meet the needs of end users and the organisation.
- Working across the Department to support the development and implementation of HSMS and Critical Risk collateral.
- Identifying, researching and analysing HSMS issues including engaging with key stakeholders to help inform conclusions.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

We would love you to join our team if you have already worked in the H&S field and you want to continue building your H&S expertise. You will ideally be someone who gets things done with energy and drive and who wants to make a tangible difference to our people.
- Experience developing high quality and clear health and safety communications for multiple audiences.
- Confident communicator, and you are not afraid to forge new working relationships and lead engagement activities to help inform your work.
- Experience supporting line managers and a wider team and can prioritise tasks easily.

It is desirable but not essential that you have knowledge of and have worked with a critical health and safety risk framework.

Ideally you have a relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety, or you are working towards a H&S qualification

**Utu ā-tau | Salary**

The full range (85%-120%) is $75,829 - $107,052, with appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
