Nestled in the heart of Queenstown, The Pig & Whistle is a quintessential English pub that embraces the charm of traditional British hospitality. We take pride in serving hearty British mains, delicious bar fare, and pots of tea in a warm and inviting setting. Our establishment also offers the perfect spot for friendly games of pool, adding a touch of entertainment to the classic pub experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- As the Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire our team of hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional service with a warm and friendly demeanour.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that every guest enjoys an authentic English pub experience, from the quality of our food and drinks to the ambiance and service.
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.
- Problem-Solving: Handle customer inquiries, address issues promptly, and find effective solutions to ensure a positive customer experience.

**Ideal skills to be successful in this role.**
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of traditional English pub culture and cuisine.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
