**Key Responsibilities**
- The Data Analyst will work with both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring all processes align with kaupapa Māori values and practices.
- Key responsibilities include creating clear and actionable dashboards and reports to provide Services and funders with essential insights. The role also involves conducting regular system reviews to incorporate feedback, refine processes, and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. Critical data collection areas include stakeholder demographics, service engagement, and detail areas for clients, whānau, service providers, and funders. The role will track input metrics (e.g., financial resources, time, material contributions) and output metrics (e.g., number and types of interventions, client reach, activity summaries).
- Outcome data collection will focus on observed changes, stakeholder feedback, and long-term results, supported by indicators that track starting points, goals, interventions, and measurable progress.
- The role will also handle valuation data, using methods to assess the value of outcomes, and attribution data to account for factors that affect net impact. The Data Analyst will deliver concise metric summaries, detailed impact narratives, and insights to drive continuous improvement and maximize the value of our services.
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the health or social services sector.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) with a willingness to learn and use Purapura Whetu data tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
