Financial analyst contracting role would involve assisting the team by gathering and analyzing financial data, creating reports, building financial models, conducting research, and supporting budgeting processes, with a focus on gaining practical experience in financial analysis within the New Zealand business environment

Key responsibilities may include:

- ** Data collection and analysis**:
Extracting financial data from internal systems, compiling data sets, and performing basic analysis using tools like Excel to identify trends and patterns.
- ** Financial modeling**:
Building and maintaining simple financial models to support decision-making, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- ** Report preparation**:
Creating clear and concise financial reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs), variances from budget, and other relevant insights.
