**Mount Maunganui's favourite Asian-fusion restaurant, Master Kong, is looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to join the team**

The Street Food culture of Asia’s bustling night markets is our food inspiration. Think, East meets West. Master Kong’s cuisine takes classic street foods from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia & Thailand to create a menu which takes you on an explosive flavour journey of fusion

This position will be a full-time, hands-on role that will require a minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a similar role at a busy venue A strong restaurant/floor focus will be required for the role, bar experience isn't necessary but of course an added bonus

Our Assistant Venue Manager will learn all aspects of running a busy double venue and managing a front of house team of up to 25 staff while helping support the kitchen team and their day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, they'll have THE people skills and personality to train & lead our amazing team by example, while always striving for excellent customer experiences.

**What we’ll need from you**:

- An outstanding employment history in the hospitality industry is essential, with at least 2 years experience at a senior management level
- A valid LCQ and Manager’s License
- A natural leader who can encourage their team
- A great communicator who is able to delegate tasks effectively
- The ability to be an awesome host and to create excellent customer experiences
- The ability to have strong control of a busy restaurant & bar
- A passion for good friendly service and an absolute pro on the floor and bar
- Ambition to make an awesome career for yourself within hospitality
