Medcall Health Personnel provides experienced and professional temp/agency healthcare staff to a variety of aged care providers, hospitals, community and other services throughout NZ. We have a number of service provider contracts with DHB's, aged care providers and others, where we are an integral part of their overall workforce solutions - and that is no more critical than at the moment, with the challenges of supply and demand globally

The Recruitment and Retention Consultant has overall responsbility for the recruitment of new healthcare workers for Medcall and the retention and wellbeing of that pool nationwide.

About the role:

- Develop and implement creative, impactful and compliant recruiting and retention strategies.
- Oversee and promote employee relations programs to retain employees.
- Assess gaps in recruiting and retention through observation, surveys, interviews, focus groups, or in consultation with managers, colleagues, customers.
- Provide support services at all stages of the employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, orientation, career planning, career development, and transition.
- Provide customer service to employees.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to recruiting and retention; evaluates effectiveness and make recommendations on areas of improvement.

What we are looking for:

- At least 2+ years of end to end recruitment experience
- Experience from within a volume or internal recruitment background preferred but not essential
- Experience and knowledge of recruitment best practice, process, policy, and awareness of the appropriate legislation across NZ
- Direct sourcing experience and familiar with using professional networks, social media, talent pools, headhunting and other channels.
- Experience of using and maintaining an ATS.
- Passion and enthusiasm for people and ability to work in a fast paced/ever changing environment.
