The Commercial Services team has a 12 month fixed term Senior Advisor opportunity to join our small but high performing team. This role is a great opportunity to make a difference and take on a varied, challenging, and rewarding role.

The Senior Advisor works collaboratively with the Property Procurement team and Property Business Group to enable and deliver the Ministry's Property Capital Plan. You will be responsible for leading a number of initiatives that support the Capital Plan, provide advice and support to our key stakeholders about their procurement and commercial activities.

Your role also supports the development and revision of procurement policies and processes, as well as strategic procurement initiatives.

**Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience**
- experience leading property procurement projects and initiatives of a complex nature
- understands the commonly used forms of construction contract and delivery approaches such as the NZS 3910, CCCS, SFA and Minor Works contract forms
- good understanding and knowledge of the All of Government Directory for construction consultancy services panel and property panel
- a natural ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- a high level of commercial acumen and communication skills - in-person, verbal and written
- a good understanding of and interest in the domestic construction market and the ability to keep abreast of current trends and activity
- experience with end-to-end sourcing - including drafting tender documents, facilitating evaluations, and leading contract negotiations
- the interest and desire to take ownership of future team initiatives as opportunities arise.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $98,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
