**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
The Operations Support and Improvement Team have an opportunity for an advisor to join their dynamic team.
We are looking for an energetic and motivated person who either has the experience of an advisor, or who is not afraid to lean in and give things a go. Someone who can work closely with senior leaders, who is relatable and able to build strong relationships across the business unit.
You will have to work collaboratively with both operational and back-office teams to support improvement initiatives. Understanding service design and project management principles and methodologies would be good but is not a necessity.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
You will also be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient completion of a range of critical outputs, including reports and event briefings to the Minister(s), written parliamentary questions (WPQs), and official correspondence including requests under the official information act (OIA) and Ministerial correspondence.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships across Kanoa - Regional Development Commercial Services and other teams at MBIE.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking to support identifying problems and implementing solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively to support business process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to analyse data and information to craft reporting for stakeholders and the Minister(s).
- Exercise good judgment to manage and escalate potentially sensitive issues
