The National Library of New Zealand, Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department's epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.
We are looking for two administration superstars, one in our Wellington team and one in our Christchurch team, to join our Business Support Team, providing financial and general administration support to the various branches of the National Library of New Zealand.
No two days are ever the same, and where you are part of the amazing workings of an orgnaisation that cares for some of New Zealand's precious taonga and provide a range of services to New Zealand's network of schools and libraries. And as we are part of the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Financial data entry for purchase orders and invoicing
- Ordering stationery and supplies
- Provide administrative and organisational support to managers and staff within the National Library, including preparation of presentations, meeting documentation and knowledge base articles. You will be using Microsoft and Google software.
- Liaising with stakeholders and staff
- Logistics planning for face to face and online meetings including minute taking
- Develop close and effective working relationship with managers and staff across the library and wider DIA ensuring effective lines of communication
