Māori Public Health Advisor

Are you passionate about Māori public health and making a tangible difference in our local communities? Hāpai te Hauora is seeking a dedicated Māori Public Health Advisor to lead the charge in preventing and minimizing gambling harm in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau. Position responsibilities include:
- Building strong partnerships with community providers and sector leaders to innovate and address gambling harm.
- Developing and promoting culturally relevant resources and campaigns, empowering whānau with knowledge and preventative measures.
- Working cohesively with Hauora Māori partners, government agencies, and community groups to drive regional initiatives.
- Championing community-led change and supporting responsible gambling practices in venues.
- Demonstrating leadership, innovation, and professionalism in all aspects of your role.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako (your skills & experience)**:
- Experience in kaupapa Māori environments
- Understanding of addictions, mental health, and hauora Māori
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Established relationships or networks in the community.
- Knowledge of Te Reo Māori & Tikanga Māori
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred)
