The opportunity

The Product team is charged with ensuring fair value is delivered to customers, distributors and shareholders.

The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of AIA’s products and implement the delivery of product change initiatives to fulfil AIA’s product roadmap.

The role will involve: reviewing products to ensure they continue to meet customer, distributor and shareholder needs; executing end-to-end product change, market analysis and engagement.

About the role:- Support the scoping of relevant market segments to identify commercial opportunities. This will involve research into customer need, research and reporting on market trends, competitor analysis and analysis of government policy.- Support active monitoring of the global business environment for potential competitors and best practice.- Engage with end customers, intermediaries and advisers to seek out ‘voice of customer’ insights and leverage these insights to manage the delivery of innovative solutions to meet customer needs.- Understand how products and initiatives meet customer needs and provide business value/return and supports the communication of this.- Implement go-to-market strategy decisions for product launches and on-going engagement by working with channel owners and influencing SMEs involved through impactful and targeted communication.- Consistently work within the product governance framework to review and monitor products ensuring fair value for customers, distributors and stakeholders.- On-going analysis of pricing, distribution and functionality levers that impact the product portfolio.- Awareness of the pricing, distribution and functionality levers that drive product profitability.- Manage stakeholders and available resources (people, time, budget) in medium to large projects to execute product strategy.- Take ownership of stakeholder concerns/issues and manages potential roadblocks.- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to Sovereign’s Product division including how we work internally and with partners to increase delivery cadence.

About you

  • Experience in the insurance industry- Experience in product development and execution-
  • Solid project management disciplines and a good attention to detail- Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment- Demonstrated ability to manage workload and work across a number of different projects- Well-developed time management and project management skills- Self-motivated individual who displays a ‘can-do’ pro-active style and desire to provide excellent service to customers

**Qualifications**

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Statistics or Marketing- Post-graduate qualifications would be well regarded
