**Your opportunity to join us in the Waikato at Waitoa**
As the Purchasing Officer for our primary manufacturing division, you will be involved in providing day to day purchasing support to the Waitoa team. Within this fast paced and dynamic environment you will join a collaborative and supportive team responsible for carrying out the purchasing functions for our business including;
- Review reorder points and ensure the required materials are ordered on a duly authorised Purchase Order (PO).
- Ensure supplier prices match the PO information.
- Reconcile any invoice and price variances with the suppliers.
- Process invoices for payment.
- Ensure reorder and inventory levels meet the requirements of the plant
- Monitor supplier order confirmations and required dates. Follow up with suppliers on a frequent basis to ensure the timely arrival of materials to meet the required date
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Experience in a similar purchasing or administrative role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or similar business environment.
- Excellent organisational skills
- A negotiators mindset - always looking for a deal/best price
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Good computer skills - experience with standard purchasing systems would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in addition to the ability to work autonomously.
This role is a busy but rewarding one, so having excellent attention to detail and time management will be essential.
