A unique opportunity has arisen for a National Health & Safety Advisor to join a well-known, FMCG business in their safety team. Supporting the Sales function and head office, the National H&S Advisor will partner with leaders and the wider team to ensure safe working and build a culture of safety.
Reporting into the National Safety and Environment Manager, the National H&S Advisor will be responsible for partnering with the sales teams to provide specialist H&S support, guidance, and expertise. There will be a focus on identifying critical risks for the team, before developing and driving interventions to help mitigate critical risk areas. As well as this, there will be focus on building capability and identifying where gaps in knowledge and compliance may be, before leading programmes to improve these.
You are experienced in conducting audits, undertaking risk assessments and ensuring that processes and systems are in place as well as developing material to train and engage staff in best practice. You build relationships with ease, and are an effective communicator with the ability to adapt your style to suit the needs of your audience, whilst also being able to roll up your sleeves and lead by example.
To be successful in this role you will be comfortable adapting your style and health and safety tools to suit your audience. Coaching and working alongside staff getting them to understand the importance of Health and Safety is a passion of yours, as is your innovative, proactive and drive to embed a true culture of safety.
