Access Community Health (Hauora-Tara-Ā-Whare) is a leading provider of home-based healthcare and support. Our nationwide teams of over 4,000 support workers and registered nurses support people to remain active, safe, and independent in their own homes and communities.

As we take on new challenges and continue to support our staff across the regions, we are seeking a driven and self-motivated National Employee Relations Advisor to join our Employee Relations team in the National Office in Petone, Wellington.

The ER team delivers a strategic service within a framework that empowers leaders to manage its Human Resource obligations as a good employer.

This role's purpose is to:

- provide support to the National Employee Relations Manager, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Chief Executive Officer for the collective bargaining and union engagement programme
- promote and support good employee relations practices including the provision of accurate and timely legislative, procedural and policy advice to people leaders across the spectrum in the organisation
- support best practice in the recruitment of Support Workers, Nurses and other staff.
- Provide both reactive and proactive employee relations operational support to a range of HR Administration and Regional Managers across all sectors of the Access business

**Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | Skills and experience**
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Law
- Is experienced in the provision of high-quality support in respect of key stakeholder engagement within Health
- Is experienced in drafting advice and consolidating high quality project reporting
- Has strong organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of the Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act and other related legislation.
- Experience managing employment matters such as disciplinary action, restructures, and performance management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work at pace or to juggle multiple matters at once.
- Is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently to achieve defined objectives and is used to influencing and leading rather than managing
- Can easily establish rapport at all levels and always shows solid judgement and discretion.
- Applicants must be NZ or Australian citizens or hold NZ Permanent Residency
