**Your opportunity**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and detail orientated Accounts Manager to join the team at our Westfield Newmarket destination centre.

As an Accounts Manager at Scentre Group, you will be responsible for building relationships with retail partners and relevant accounts payable departments to receive rental payments from our retail tenants. You will partner very closely with our centre and Leasing based teams, and act as a point of contact for our retailers for resolution of any account issues and enquiries.

Accounts Managers also look after car parking and storage licenses, the administration of promotional allowances and repayment plans. This is a varied role, with the opportunity to grow and develop within the business.

**Your key accountabilities will include**:

- Build and nurture retail relationships that enable true customer-centric partnerships that drive better retail performance
- Analysis of debt reports, more complicated collection issues and higher risk retailers
- Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial agreements with our Retail Partners to facilitate rental payments, payment plans and rental assistance
- Recommend and influence commercial decisions with internal stakeholders
- Identify and implement strategies to deliver commercial outcomes and maintain strong retail partnerships
- Develop strategy and tactics to manage retailer arrears and promotional allowances to deliver the most commercially acceptable outcome in line with the Leasing & Retail Solutions strategy.

**What will set you apart from the rest?**

You’ll have excellent financial acumen and a passion for retail property. You’ll be a confident communicator with strong oral and written communication skills and enjoy developing relationships with both finance and non-finance staff. You’ll also have a numbers focused mind with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Day to day, you will also be responsible for:

- Achieving monthly collection targets
- Updating collection notes and ongoing actions in relation to the tenants
- Monitoring ongoing debtor Payment Plans
- Managing security deposit holdings for retail tenant
- Experience with JDE & SalesForce is preferable, Microsoft Suite with strong Excel skills.

As a part of our leadership team, **you’ll also have Duty Management responsibilities from time to time **, where you’ll be required to work a weekend shift (on a roster), **which will be balanced with a day off in lieu and/or a late night trade shift (11am-7pm or 1pm-9pm) **.
