Macleans College is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Accounts Team. This is an excellent role for someone with strong accounting skills who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and providing excellent service to both students and staff.

Previous experience and qualifications in accounts are preferred.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Oversight and management of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions - invoicing, processing and payments
- Banking and reconciliation - manage daily banking activities, electronic transactions, reconcile accounts, handle deposits, withdrawals and transfers
- Petty Cash Management - oversee petty cash and accurately manage
- International student payments - oversee the invoices and receipts of payments for overseas students
- Student Account queries - respond to student and parent inquiries regarding accounts, fees and payments
- Provide timely and professional support for student and parent account queries
- Assist with staff-related accounts and charges

**Skills and experience**:

- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Accounting software such as Xero or MYOB
- A qualification in Accounting or Finance (Diploma level or similar preferred)
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Experience in a school or not-for-profit setting would be an advantage

This role is a part-time role, 30 hours per week, term-time only, 8.00 am - 2.30 pm and reports to the Accounts Manager.

The position will commence as soon as possible (or by arrangement).
