**About the role**:
We are on the hunt for multiple experienced curriculum writers to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) services. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the Diploma in Health Science programme level 5. The role is based in Auckland (may be based elsewhere with negotiation) and will suit a person with extensive health and social care experience who wants to empower the next generation of social care and/or healthcare workers to provide high quality care. There are exciting opportunities to transition into teaching the relevant course once developed.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Contribute to the development and delivery of programmes offered by Yoobee Colleges Health Academy of New Zealand as part of the team
- Ensure new and existing programmes of learning are designed, enhanced, implemented and evaluated in accordance with agreed faculty standards and plans
- Contribute to the curriculum development through the addition of new or updated materials
- Teaching and learning on selected programmes and courses
- Design and deliver appropriate student assessments and provide effective and timely
- Provision of learning and support within the classroom, and, as appropriate, in clinical placements and outside of these situations
- Teach students to think critically and analytically and provide them with the abilities to do so

**About you**:
You must have a relevant Bachelor's degree and knowledge of current trends and practices in the health and social care field. You will be someone who has a commitment to excellence in the teaching of the following one or more core courses in Diploma in Health Science, and other healthcare programmes in the Faculty.

**Desirable**:

- Prior teaching/industry experience
- Understanding of student learning and effective teaching methods
- Postgraduate qualification
