**About the role**:
We are on the hunt for an experienced curriculum writer to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) services for our Level 3 and 4 Tourism programmes on a 6-month contract. In this position, you will be working remotely and responsible for writing programmes under our New Zealand School of Tourism brand. You will be involved in developing new and existing academic curriculum including resources to ensure academic success as measured by both internal and external metrics. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and update educational assessment items based on specific LOs and GPOs
- Research, design, develop and write thoughtful, engaging, and easy-to-use lesson plans, learning experiences, student materials like workbooks, and tutor materials that align to approved programme documentation.
- Develop e-learning resources.
- Assist quality team as needed to prepare teaching resources and student workbooks ready to be used by the campus
**About you**:
You must have relevant academic and/or professional or practice-based experience and experience writing curriculum in tertiary education. You must also have the following attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others during the design and development process
- Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to maintain links with external education, professional and industry groups while working independently in a remote environment
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
