**Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand - Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral (MidCentral)** provides healthcare services to over 190,000 people, primarily across the Manawatū, Horowhenua, and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, we also deliver key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
Following a recent organisational change process, we are now seeking to permanently appoint key roles in the leadership of the organisation. Success in these roles requires visionary leadership, strategic collaboration, and strong advocacy to uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and deliver meaningful, long-term improvements in health outcomes for our communities.

**Clinical Partnership Roles**

Each clinical group within the district is led by a Group Manager who is heavily supported by a **Clinical Director**.

Together, these roles will drive the planning, procurement, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of health services within their areas of responsibility, ensuring excellence and equity at every level. Operating at an executive level, these roles will serve as strategic advisors to the Group Managers, while also being hands-on implementers of best practice across their areas of responsibility. These roles report to the Chief Medical Officer, MidCentral, to maintain a strong clinical linkage.

**Clinical Director Roles**
- Clinical Director - Cancer Screening, Treatment and Support
- Clinical Director - Children, Youth and Community
- Clinical Director - Women's Health
- Clinical Director - Unplanned Care
- Clinical Director - Mental Health and Addiction Services

To be considered suitable for these roles, you will have significant leadership experience especially being able to demonstrate effective clinical leadership and decision making, and the ability to lead a team of skilled and motivated individuals. You will demonstrate a strong awareness of equity issues across the sector (including, but not limited to, Māori health), and a thorough understanding of the function and challenges of the service group. You will possess excellent communication skills, including active listening, group facilitation, report writing, and public speaking. A relevant management qualification and/or a minimum of 10 years' experience managing complex healthcare teams is required.
