Te Whatu Ora | MidCentral is seeking to appoint a **Director Quality and Innovation**. This role will lead the Quality and Innovation Directorate reporting into the Office of the Professional Leads with a focus on quality assurance, service improvement and consumer experience activities and initiatives.

You will have accountability for supporting organisational change in line with Te Whatu Ora's Te Pae Tata in partnership with clinicians, people and whanau, as well as service leaders across our district as we move into the health system transformation.

We have chosen to aspire to quality and excellence by design and reduce current inequity of outcome for our population. The role will be responsible for four teams, including the Clinical Library service, who facilitate and monitor quality assurance and improvement programmes across teams within the MidCentral District. Supporting delivery of our clinical governance framework, goals and strategy, and will improve the value of services across the District.

This is a permanent, full time position.

To be considered appropriate for this role you must be an excellent communicator with a relevant qualification and proven leadership experience in driving quality related initiatives and change at scale across hospital or community health teams. You will have a high level of energy and focus and strong results orientation, as well as a proven ability to be able to measure and achieve successful outcomes through influence and gain the trust and confidence of others at leadership levels in the organisation.

Current knowledge and experience in the New Zealand Health Sector is preferred but not essential.
