The National Public Health Service within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

As a **Senior **Advisor** you will play a supporting role in the development of advice in public health supporting the NPHS Business Service, and the wider organisation, to contribute to the agenda-setting activities of Health NZ and other agencies, particularly those with policy-setting responsibilities for Health.

This **permanent, full-time** role will see you provide support on key pieces of work and to ensure the delivery of quality advice in areas of expertise across the team to ensure we deliver quality advice.

**Mōu | About you**

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience
- Health sector and/or government experience and knowledge of government structures and processes is beneficial
- Leadership experience, including designing and managing a portfolio of work, and resources
- A preference for experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams

- Efficiency and timely delivery of all machinery of government work commissioned to NPHS by the Government Services Group.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
