This is a full time position working five days a week with one weekend day, days and times to be confirmed. This role includes working on a shared on-call component. - As the Hospital Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:_ - Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always _"good enough for mum and dad"_ - Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team - Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the Hospital Unit - Actively engage with resident's families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships - Ensure your team embrace a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments - Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as needed - Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unit - Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust - Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one - Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager **About You** - To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:_- A current APC (annual practising certificate) - interRAI training or willingness to gain competency - Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader - The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team - Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents - Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager **About Ryman** At Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
