He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Medical Staffing Unit at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty has an exciting opportunity for self-motivated and enthusiastic Workforce Manager to join our team based at Tauranga Hospital.
The Medical Staffing Unit is responsible for 240 Resident Medical Officers (RMO's) working across our two hospital sites (Tauranga & Whakatāne). Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, your role is accountable for the leadership and oversight of the recruitment, deployment, support and coordination of the RMOs workforce.
You will be managing a team of six who are based across both the Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospital sites. We are looking for someone who can develop and foster a positive and healthy organisational culture through strong leadership. Some of your duties will include:
- Workforce Planning and Support which includes understanding complexities of the RMO workforce.
- Review and contribute to strategic, service and business plans
- Providing leadership and oversight of the coordination of multiple 24/7 rosters
- Provide advice and support regarding RMO run allocations.
- Effective nurturing and management of relationships with key external stakeholders including relevant union partners.
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in health, business or related field or suitable relevant experience
- Well-developed planning & organisational skills, including an ability to clarify work objectives, prioritise workload and meet competing priorities and deadlines.
- Project management experience, preferably in health.
- Experience in the health sector, including working with RMOs is desirable.
